Facial Embellishment

There are several techniques we use to beautify a face. In my personal conduct, surgery is the last resort for beautification, as I always prefer to use less aggressive methods and a faster recovery, however there are cases where we can not use bioplastic, no wires or peels, Botox and Laser . And precisely in these selected cases I choose to use conventional surgical methods. Cosmetic surgery aims to improve the embellishment of the shape and volume of the face. Working in three dimensions can enhance the facial angles making the face more attractive.

Candidates

usually men and women over 40 years, although some patients in their thirties can benefit from this procedure.

Total duration of surgery

Approximately 240 minutes.

Anesthesia

Local, performed with intravenous sedation by an anesthesiologist.

Outpatient

About 6-12 hours after the procedure.

Recovery

Back to work: 10 to 14 days. More strenuous activities: two weeks or more. Bruising: 2 to 3 weeks. Avoid sun exposure for two months.

Objectives

Beautify the face. Facial contours become more attractive. Bring facial balance.

Incisions and technique

Depends on the area we cover, usually are similar to those used for facial rejuvenation

Undesirable effects

Local edema usually disappear after three weeks and bruises that disappear spontaneously after 2 weeks. Complications of plastic face are infrequent. Some incisions may be due to variations in visible scarring and may need to be retouched.
